The ninth Issue of deepin Biweekly Technical Report has been released, we will briefly list the progress of various deepin teams over the past two weeks and outline the general plan for the next two weeks!
DDE(deepin Desktop Environment)
Requirements development for deepin 25 has been completed, and the current phase is focused on bug fixes for deepin 23 and deepin 25.
Progress
- Fine-tune the visual effects of DTK's menu and scrollbar components.
- Continuously fix bugs in DDE components such as the taskbar and notifications based on community feedback.
- Adjust the technical preview interface to add a restart prompt dialog and processing flow.
- Design adjustments and improvements to the network, personalization, updates, display, and date/time modules in the QML version of the control center.
Plans
- Prepare DDE 7.0 for the release of deepin 25 Preview.
System Development
Progress
- Update to the mesa 24.3 series package version.
- Fix error messages when connecting to networks in wpa and network-manager.
- Fix the issue of renaming vfat formatted USB drives with Chinese characters in udisks2.
- Add tuned, tecla, asio, txt2tags, and exim4 to the repository.
- Update for CVE security vulnerabilities.

Linux Kernel
Progress
- Enable support for more Intel devices in the x86 kernel.
- Export kernel symbols required by the binder driver to support Waydroid.
- Enable ftrace system call support for the ARM kernel.
- Enable hardware acceleration support for encryption and decryption, as well as ZIP compression algorithms, for Kunpeng devices in the ARM kernel.
- The 6.6 kernel adds support for multiple Bluetooth devices, including Realtek 8852BT/8852BE-VT, 8922AE, and MediaTek MT7920.
- Integrate upstream Intel idle driver support for Granite Rapid and Sierra Forest platforms, along with important bug fixes.
- Integrate upstream support for x86 KVM virtualization linear address masking.
- Integrate upstream improvements for the Intel pstate driver.
- Integrate upstream updates and fixes for the Intel TPMI driver.
- Incorporate the lock_down feature to enhance support for secure boot.
- Integrate architecture and platform support fixes from outside the upstream, including x86 and ARM platforms.
- Incorporate a fix for the RAID card driver from Zongcun Technology.
- Incorporate a fix for a null pointer dereference issue in the MediaTek MT7920 network card driver.
- Introduce support for printing information such as the distribution and compilation toolchain in the kernel log.
- Introduce a feature to print reports in the kernel log when memory issues are detected on the x86 architecture.
- Update the 6.6 kernel code base to version 6.6.69.
Plans
- Advance support for the SG2042 kernel.
